Why all moms should be able to grocery shop alone....

I know that it is late and I should be in bed but this was just one more thing that I had to share before I end my day. Tonight after I took Keith to church for Awana's, Connor, Alex and I went to Walmart to only grab a few things to get us thru until the next BIG shopping trip. So on my list was just the staples, bread, milk, flour, eggs, juice, bananas, you get the idea, just a few things. Well, I get to Walmart and put Alex in the cart (the part where the seat is) and then arrange my coat and a blanket in the basket part of the cart for Connor to sit on. Now please remember Connor has just now turned 2 years old and sitting in this part of the cart is still very new for him, but he was doing very well. He had to be reminded several times to sit back down, but he did good for the most part. I was watching him as much as I could while looking down the isles for what I needed. I had almost everything on my list and as I was looking for just that last item, I glance over at the cart to check on Connor and what do I see? He has ripped open the top of bag of flour and is EATING it by the handful!!! It was EVERYWHERE! I was so embarrassed!! I grabbed it away from in and in the process it puffs out at me, and now I have it all down the front of my shirt as well. I couldn't have been more humiliated! Needless to say, I busted my butt and got to the checkout lane and got out of there as fast as I could.

So....I love my dear sweet son...and I will predict that he will always keep it interesting and will continue to surprise me his entire life!

I know, I bet you wish you could see a picture of that site! I am so glad that you can't!

That is hilarious! I do wish I could see a picture. I know what you mean about going alone though. I always end up having to go when Heath is at work, so Morgan comes along. I swear it takes twice as long to get things done and it is exhausting!

Kira...you are so right it takes so much more time when you take the kids. When I take all three it makes me completely exhausted, just going to the store!

I'm so sorry, Kelly! I bet that was no fun! I did have a good laugh, though, at the idea of you with flour all down the front of you! Life with kids is definitely not boring!
